You are loved by God

God is good and he wants you to know him.

But we are stubborn and rebellious, putting our will and our desires above all else. In the process, we hurt ourselves and others. The Bible calls this sin and it must be dealt with.

Since God loves us, he provides a way through his Son, Jesus, for our sins to be removed and for us to be changed. That is good news. The Bible has a term for that: the gospel.

What is the gospel?

There are many ways to explain the gospel. To make it easy, we’ll use the GOSPEL acronym.

G = God’s Holiness

O = Our Brokenness

S = Sacrifice of Christ

P = Profession of Faith

E = Equals

L = Life
